This hotel of 3 stars, it is located in the centre of thevillageofS\u00e3o Mamede, with a panoramic view of the Serra de S\u00e3o Mamede, at 10 kilometres fromSpain.<\/p>\n

The hotel unit, provides 52 rooms and one suite, modernly decorated and equipped, with all the services, bar and swimming pool. In the proximities, there are interesting places to visit such as the Castelo de Vide, the village and the Serra do Marv\u00e3o, the Ammaia Golf Club and the ruins of the Roman city ofAmmaia, located in the village of S\u00e3o Salvadorda Aramenha.<\/p>\n

In Castelo de Vide, it highlights its castle surrounded by the white houses standing out in the green landscape. Inside the village, its streets keep intact the atmosphere of a medieval time. The village, painted of white, it is embellished by several seigniorial houses and stately breathing history.<\/p>\n

Several are the monuments and places of interest of the village, highlighting also the “Jewish Quarter”, one of the more important examples and well preserved of the Jewish presence inPortugal, remounting to the thirteenth century, preserving in the same, also one of the biggest estates of civil architecture from the Gothic period. There is also the Mount where it is situated the Chapel of Nossa Senhora da Penha, from which, ii has another perspective of the village.<\/p>\n

At the Square D. Pedro V, it is theChurchofS\u00e3o Jo\u00e3o Baptista, the Hospital, located in the house where was born the statesman Mouzinho da Silveira, the parish church and the town hall.<\/p>\n

Castelo de Vide it is an Alentejo village of preserved traditions, with several popular festivals. The Gastronomy of the municipality it is also rich and traditionally from Alentejo, deserving highlight dishes like the Sarapatel (dish prepared with lamb or goat entrails), the lamb stew or mashed with spare ribs as well as the several liqueurs produced in the region.<\/p>\n
