{"id":4937,"date":"2011-11-05T23:44:01","date_gmt":"2011-11-05T23:44:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.portugalvia.com\/en\/?p=4937"},"modified":"2011-11-06T03:10:39","modified_gmt":"2011-11-06T03:10:39","slug":"portugalia-airlines","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.portugalvia.com\/en\/portugalia-airlines\/","title":{"rendered":"Portug\u00e1lia Airlines"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Portug\u00e1lia Airlines is an enterprise that operates in the commercial aviation market in Portugal and in other countries, being established in 1988 and started its first flight in July 1990, with a connection from Lisboa to Porto, on the same day that began the route Lisbon-Faro.<\/p>\n<p>In Portugal, the enterprise makes travels between the destinations of Lisbon, Porto, Faro, the archipelago of A\u00e7ores and of Madeira. From June 1992, it began its international expansion, with the realization of regular flights to Cologne, Turin and Strasbourg.<\/p>\n<p>With the full liberalization of the European airspace in January 1993, Portug\u00e1lia Airlines continued its expansion, adding in the years that followed in its route map, the cities of Madrid, Brussels Mulhouse \/ Basel, Hannover and Stuttgart. In April 1997, the enterprise inaugurated seven new destinations of the Iberian Peninsula and in the United Kingdom, which are, Barcelona, Bilbao, Las Palmas, Gran Canaria, Tenerife, Valencia, Palma de Mallorca and Manchester.<\/p>\n<p>Between 1998 and 1999, there was the enterprise expansion in the French market with the opening of five destinations to Nice, Lyon, Marseille, Bordeaux and Toulouse.
