It keeps archaeological records from the Paleolitic to the middle ages, painting from sixteenth-century Portuguese school, tapestry, furniture of the old Episcopal Palace, armory, ethnography, religious art from the XVI to XVIII century, Portuguese contemporary art and the famous Bedspreads of Castelo Branco , including a nucleous that was part of the collection Ernesto Vilhena .<\/p>\n<p>The building, built in 1596 by order of the Bishop of Guarda, D.
