RODOVIÁRIA DO ALENTEJO, SA is an enterprise founded in July 1928, providing the public transport of passengers by road in the territory that extends from the South margin of the Tejo river to the border with theAlgarve, in the areas of Alto Alentejo, Central Alentejo, Lower Alentejo and Litoral Alentejo.
The enterprise has its headquarters in Vila Fresca de Azeitão four operational managements located in Évora, Portalegre, Santiago do Cacém and 23 passenger bus terminals.
His operational fleet is consisted by 312 buses of diverse types, working in urban transit, intercity transit, Express service, rentals for occasional excursions, fixed rentals for enterprises, school transport and tourism.
In 1993, following a re-privatization operation, it was acquired by the Barraqueiro Group, one of the biggest Road Transport Groups of the Iberian Peninsula.
