The Ponte de Lima Youth Hostel was remodeled in 2005, equipped with modern installations. Situated on the edge of the Lima River, it offers a starting point for anyone who wants to enjoy the city of Ponte de Lima, the oldest in Portugal and that offers a rural scenery, full of color and attractions to visit.
It can be followed the pedestrian tourist trail built by the Municipality of Ponte de Lima, which indicates through signs, the most important monuments of the historic centre.
At the Hostel, there are available 18 rooms, an esplanade, living room and parking. In the area next to the Inn, there is a bus station.
The most interesting places to visit in Ponte de Lima, are the Church, the Old Jail Tower or of the Porta Nova, the Tower of São Paulo, integrated on the remains of the defensive walls, the Convent of Santo António, which church houses the Museum of Terceiros, the Church of Misericórdia or the Chapel of Nossa Senhora da Penha de França, of the seventeenth century, as well, the bridge of Ponte de Lima.
Ponte de Lima stands out for its quiet streets of picturesque houses, typically of Minho, with a lot of history, integrating a large number of manor houses and palatial houses, being considered the capital of the House Tourism of the Country.
In the region, it also highlights the production of green wine.
