The Hostel it is in Melgaço inserted in a sports complex near the Minho River with several offers, with a view for the Peneda-Gerês National Park.
At the Hostel, thee are 17 rooms, café/ bar, esplanade, hostel kitchen, hostel laundry, living room, internet, lockers for luggage and bicycle rental. Nearby, there is a bus station.
The beautiful surrounding landscape it is characterized by the calm of the pines of the Natural Park of Peneda-Gerês, where is possible to have access to several activities, since pedestrian walks by the hills to the adrenaline of a rafting program of the Minho river.
On the park of Peneda-Gerês, is possible to make all kinds of adventure sports, existing several walks and trails to go or the chance to make rafting, Canyoning, Rappel and Slide.
Located at the north extremity of Portugal, near the border with Spain, Melgaço is a small and ancient village, inserted on a mountainous region, bathed by the river Minho, with beautiful churches and its castle.
In Melgaço, there is the Solar do Alvarinho, a space dedicated to the Albarinho wine, being in an old medieval house in the historic part of Melgaço, where is possible to prove for free, the generality of the Alvarinhos the region and have a vision of the respective wines without visiting all the farms. At the bar of the Solar, there are rarities, such as the Alvarinho fermented in wood, the sparkling wine or Alvarinho brandy.
In the village of Melgaço, there is also located the Cinema Museum of Melgaço, a thematic museum dedicated to the history of cinema.
