The Hotel Turismo de Abrantes it is located at the entrance to the city of Abrantes with a beautiful view of the Tagus Valley. It was inaugurated in 1954 under the signature of the architect Vasco Lacerda Marques, one of the most renowned of its time, considered one of the most modern and well located Hotels in the country.
After its closure in 2014, on July 2, 2017, the hotel unit, officially reopened, under the brand name of the Luna Hotels & Resorts Group, after a recent and deep rehabilitation, operating under the concept of Hotel Boutique, reconciling the classic concept to the diversity of complementary services inherent in the Business, Leisure and Wellness segments.
The Hotel it is composed of 44 rooms and suites, equipped with several facilities including a restaurant with panoramic views of the Tejo River, a banquet and events room and a modern conference room. The hotel also has the “Panorama” restaurant that combines a classic concept with modern trends, where traditional gastronomy harmonizes with an international influence.
With features adapted to different needs, Hotel Turismo has a main room, with the capacity to be divided into two distinct rooms, which are used in meetings, conferences, social events or banquets.
There is also the “Aurantes Room” and ” Tagus Room”, which together have a maximum capacity of 130 people with an auditorium. The Hotel Turismo also has an outdoor swimming pool, 24-hour reception, free Wi-Fi, check-in from 2 pm and check-out until 11 am.
In Abrantes, as places of interest, there are the Abrantes Castle, the Church of Santa Maria do Castelo, the Church of São Vicente, the Church of São João Baptista, the Church of Misericórdia, the Convent of Nossa Senhora da Esperança, the Convent of São Domingos, the House of Almadas, once the Royal Palace of Abrantes, as well as the House of the Muncipality.
Between the municipalities of Tomar and Abrantes, the Castelo de Bode Dam it is located, one of the largest in Portugal, where it is possible to find the Castelo de Bode Bayou and Lombo Island.
