Situated in Unhais da Serra, on the municipality of Covilhã, in conjunction with the Natural Park of Serra da Estrela, the H2otel, of 4 stars, it is a mountain hotel built from scratch, architecturally integrated into the landscape, allowing an intimate connection to the nature.
The hotel unit, integrated on the Natura IMB Hotels Group, provides 90 rooms of which 17 are suites and duplex suites, with the following typology: 24 double rooms with double bed, 47 double rooms with two beds, 9 junior suites, 6 Suites with Jacuzzi, (of which two have panoramic terrace), 2 duplex suites with 3 double bedrooms each (two rooms with double bed and one with 2 beds). 20 of the rooms are interconnecting.
The suites and duplex suites have a beautiful landscape over the glacier of Alforfa valley in the southwest slope of the Serra da Estrela. All the rooms are equipped with LCD TV, satellite TV, telephone, air conditioning, hairdryer, minibar and wireless internet.
There are also available at the hotel, the services of room service available until 24 hours, 24 hours reception, laundry service, unisex hairdresser and normal occupation of the residence with check out until 12h00, Breakfast Buffet in the room until 10:00 from Monday to Friday and until 10:30 on the other days. For children until five years, there is the gratuity on the companion room (one per room). For children from 6 to 10 years, there is a 50% discount over the extra bed on the room of the companions (one per room).
The Hotel restaurant, serves high-mountain gastronomy, with vegetarian menus and lights (this latter prepared particularly as the customer after nutritional evaluation done by the medical staff, on the ambit of the Integrated program Medical Spa).
There are also at Hotel 1000 m2 of congresses and meeting rooms, banquet rooms, lounge and lounge bar with terrace, gourmet shop “H2O Space” game room “Media Center”, a gym and an ample parking.
The unit also includes a Wellness Center 100% called AQUADOME, constituted by four big areas: Aquaterm, the most modern thermal center of the country in which the slope of respiratory diseases has a high level of expecialization; AquaFisio, a complete center for physiotherapy and osteopathy; AquaCorpus for a meeting between the body and the mind, associating the high aesthetic to Oriental therapies, and AquaLudic the most innovative set of dynamic swimming pools themed with the Celtic circuit.
In the region, there are parks, gardens, seigniorial houses and a lot of churches. It also highlights its gastronomy, with the Serra cheese or the rye bread and the homemade sausages, besides dishes like the traditional red bean soup, the roasted lamb, the lamb stew or the grilled trout, between other specialties, such as the honey of Serra da Estrela.
