The Fão Campsite, belonging to the Clube de Campismo e Caravanismo de Barcelos, is located in the village of Fão, on the municipality of Esposende, land surrounded, at North and Sunrising, by the waters of the Càvado River, and at west by the Atlantic Ocean .
Nearby there are the beaches of Fão and Offir and the Cávado River, which are indicated places for the sport fishing, canoeing, surfing, windsurfing, surfing kit, moto- water and other nautical sports.
The Village of Fão, it is located in an zone of protected landscape area, ideal for pedestrian walkings, consisted by beaches, dunes, the estuary of the Cávado River, the Fão pine forest, agricultural and rural landscapes, and others.
The Village of Fão is also known by its gastronomic dishes, being that near the Campsite, there are several restaurants that serves the seafood rice, the stuffed crab, the octopus and various fishes, such as the european seabass, the sardines, the lamprey, the shad fish and the cod.
Annually, in the second week of August, it´s realized the annual beer festival, which includes seafood and the handicraft, which presents on the table, the seafood and the beer.
There are also the Clarinhas, the Folhadinhos and other regional sweets.
