The Espinho Youth Hostel was inaugurated in late 2007, presenting a modern installations and design. The space has a location close to a beach area, with 8 kilometers.

It provides 20 rooms, café/bar, hostel kitchen, living room and parking. Nearby, there is a train station.

In the surroundings of the Hostel, there is the protected area of Barrinha de Esmoriz and of the Paramos Lagoon, the Multimedia Center of Espinho, a modern building, which has a planetarium, an auditorium for cinema, a space of free access to the Internet, an exposition gallery, the Cosmotec (Astronomy Library) and an astronomical observatory.

In the modern and animated city of Espinho, it can be done several sports and cultural events, existing different places of leisure and entertainment, between them, it highlights its Casino.

The zone of beaches of Espinho provides good conditions for the practice of surfing and body board, being that is possible to walk by the area of the seaside. There is also the Municipal Bathing Marine- Municipal Complex Thalassotherapy of Espinho and the oldest golf course in the Iberian Peninsula, dating from the late nineteenth century and founded by British citizens.

With regard to the historical and cultural heritage, it highlights in Espinho, the Church and the Chapel of Nossa Senhora da Ajuda, patroness of fishermen.

The fishing auction and the traditional Espinho Fair, which realizes every Monday, are also places of interest in Espinho.
