The Poejo Boutique Hotel, of 4 stars, it is located in Santo António das Areias, at 5 km from the medieval village of Marvão, inserted in the beautiful landscape of the Natural Park of Serra de São Mamede.
The unit it is the only boutique hotel located on the Alentejo, presenting reduced dimensions, inserted in a building built in 1940 and renovated in 2007, maintaining the traditional Alentejo trace. The interior of the Hotel, it is a combination between its assets of industrial pieces, rural, traditional with the modern design.
At the Hotel there are 13 rooms individually decorated, comfortable, providing room service, wake up service, pillow menu, opening of the beds at the end of the day, television, telephone and breakfast buffet.
There is also at the hotel unit, private parking, regional restaurant, bar, library, internet zone, a office- shop of handicraft, board games, traditional street games, games for children, laundry and WIFI internet.
The Restaurant O Poejo, Integrated in a space of a former mill and warehouse, keeping some of its characteristics, serves traditional Alentejo cuisine. At room of the restaurant, there is a collection of industrial pieces of several decades.
From the Hotel it is possible to visit, besides of Santo António das Areias, the village of Marvão, the Natural Park of the Serra de São Mamede, the Roman city of Ammaia in the municipality of Marvão, the village of Castelo de Vide, as well the city of Portalegre.
There are still available the Megalithic Route, on northern Alentejo, the wine routes in the wine sub region of the São Mamede Route and the smugglers Route at the border zone, from the International Tejo until the Sierra de São Pedro de los Baldios, divided between the Spanish provinces of Cáceres and Badajoz. The village of Castelo de Vide, it is at 15 kilometers distance, the city of Portalegre, at 25 kilometers.
