The Campsite is located near a bathing area on the southern coast of the Angra do Heroismo Island, at 1 km from Porto Judeu in the village of São Sebastian, in the Path of Salga, in the proximities of the Bay of Salga, in the Terceira Island.

It´s structure has a capacity for 55 lots destinated to caravans and camping tents, separated by curbs and lawns, some with natural shadows, offering a children´s playground, six grills, minimarket/ supermarket, natural shadows and electric plugs for caravans and tents.

There still is an indoor car park with capacity for 15 places and a car park near the reception. In the proximities, there is a small port and a natural swimming pool.

Near the Bay of Salga, it´s possible to visit the House of Brianda Pereira, who represents in the history of the Terceira Island a place almost of worship to victory and perseverance. It was from the same house and from the farm that surrounds it, that a group led by Brianda Pereira invaded the beach in 1581, fighting against the Spanish Armada and its intention to conquer theIsland.

The Bay of Salga, is considered a historic Bay, due to the fact that it was the place where took place the Battle of Salga,  on the July 25, 1581, between a Castilian military landing force and the troops, that in the name of D. António I of Portugal, the pretender to the throne of Portugal defended the Terceira Island, in opposition to the personal union with Castela, in the context of the succession crisis of 1580.

During 2 years, the island of Terceira, was the capital of the kingdom and only territory free from the philippine domination, being D. António, Prior of Crato, recognized as king of Portugal, in the Azores.

However, the resistance of the Terceira Island to the ​​Philip II of Castela domination, only lasted two years before the Landing of theBayofMós, a military operation taken on the 26 and 27 July 1583, by a Castilian force, commanded by D. Álvaro de Bazán, Marquis of Santa Cruz de Mudela.

Only since 1640, with the beginning of the restoration from the independence to the Philippine domination, the  Castela Domination leaved theisland ofTerceira.
