The Aviz Hotel, of 4 stars, it was inaugurated in 2005, with a modern architectural trace, from the concept of the Aviz Hotel, which existed between 1931 and 1962, on the Picoas palace, designed by the architect Miguel Ventura Terra. It is located at 5 minutes from the Marquês de Pombal Square and at few minutes from the center of the city.
It provides 70 rooms: 22 Twins, 25 standard double, 9 singles and 14 great Signature Suites, this ones in honor to the personalities who marked presence at the old hotel, such as Frank Sinatra, Ava Gardner, Maria Callas, Marcello Mastroianni, Amália Rodrigues and the Calouste Gulbenkian, between others.
The suites have been named as its famous former occupants. All the accommodations have air conditioning, plush bathrobes and soft slippers, jointly with free personal luxurious articles and sauna.
The Hotel also provides meeting rooms, parking service, parking, business center, rent-a-car, excursions to the city with gathering at the Hotel, transfers from and to the Airport, wake up service and free cots free, at request and free Wi-Fi access.
