Inserted on the Natural Park of the Serra de São Mamede, the Camping Asseiceira, is located in the parish of Santo António das Areias, on the municipality of Marvão, at 8 kilometers from the border between Portugal and Spain.
It is a Campsite that allows to explore the High Alentejo region, as well, the village and the Castle of Marvão and the western Spanish region.
The campsite allows the use of auto caravans, caravans or tents, having 10 electric plugs of, 16 amp. Its structure also has swimming pool, WI-FI, kitchen, bedrooms and baths.
The Camping Asseiceira has a map of walks, designed by the Campsite, which shows in detail a series of circular circuits, which can be made from the campsite. From the Campsite, it can be done activities connected with walking, sailing and canoeing, swimming, bird watching, painting, golf, mountain biking and climbing.
In the proximities of the Campsite, there is the village of Santo Antonio das Areias, which has several useful shops and services. There are several dams in the area where it is allowed to practice sailing and canoeing, being the closest the Dam of Apartadura.
In the region, as places of interest to visit, there is the village of Santo Antonio das Areias, the povoation of Portagem, the village of Marvão, the Beira railway station, the Apartadura Dam, where it is allowed to practice sailing and canoeing, the village of Castelo de Vide and its Castle, the city of Portland and the megalithic and Romans traces.
