The Terceira Youth Hostel, located in the Island with the same name, it is an accommodation directed to young people, from where is possible to start exploring the marine wildlife existing in the region, either by diving or by tours realized in boats to observation of dolphins and whales.
At the Hostel, there are 11 rooms, hostel kitchen, hostel laundry, living room, public telephone, lockers for luggage, bicycle rental. Nearby, there is a bus station.
It allows enjoying the beautiful natural landscape, transmitting calm and serenity, being a starting point to know the city of Angra do Heroísmo, classified as World Heritage by UNESCO, since 1983.
Between the city’s historic places, it highlights the seigniorial houses and small palaces, the Fort or the Castle of São João Baptista, its churches and chapels and convents, with special emphasis for the Cathedral, its open spaces, as the Duque da Terceira Garden or the Relvão Municipal Park. In Angra do Heroísmo, is also located the Bay Underwater Archaeological Park, working as underwater museum.
A little bit all over the island of Terceira, there are whales and dolphins, as well as volcanic traces and where is possible to make diving, fishing or big walks.
