Located in the Lugar de Bouças Donas, in the village of Cabana Maior, on the municipality of Arcos de Valdevez, the Travanca Campsite, managed by ADERE Peneda-Geres, allows to its users a direct contact with the nature.

Its privileged location is in an area of woods near the Mezio picnic park, where picnics can be done. The Campsite has drink machines, living room, post office, public telephone, grills, restaurants, grills, bar/ cafeteria and animation.

Besides the Mezio picnic park, nearby, there is also the Mezio Museological Nucleus, where information is exploited about Mezio Megalithic Nucleus, an integrated archaeological area in the parishes of Cabana Maior and Soajo, from the municipality of Arcos de Valdevez, as well as the Gião engravings rocks.

The  Mezio Museological Nucleus is consisted by a set of 11 mounds (artificial molehill covering a dolmenic camera) distributed across a plan ground about 1 km long, at 650 meters above the sea level, between the hills of Guidão and and Gião. Of the 11 monuments, 8 are mounds with a tumulus and a dolmenic structure.

The respective prehistoric monuments express the occupation of human presence in the same territory, for nearly 5 000 years.
