The Peniche Municipal Campsite, opened in 1967, is situated at the entrance of the city of Peniche, at few minutes from the downtown, at 500 meters from the sea, between two beaches and about 90 kilometers at North of Lisbon.
Inserted in an area of 12.6 hectares, with a capacity for 1800 people, has space for tents, caravans, auto caravans and parking inside of the park. In the unity, there are natural shadows, bar, post office, shops, mini/ supermarket, children´s playground, rent-a-car, restaurant, living room, games room, snack bar, tobacco shop, boats, polyvalent field, canoeing and tennis.
In Peniche, beyond the area beaches, it´s possible to visit its Fortress, the Berlengas Archipelago and the Cape Carvoeiro. About 10 Kilometers,there is the medieval town of Óbidos, with its historic and urban beauty.
Peniche is the most western city of the European continent, where combining its beautiful landscape, with the modernity of a fishing village and its historic past.
