Gifted with recent installations, the Beja Youth Hostel offers good conditions for a good stay.
The Hostel provides 16 rooms, hostel kitchen, living room. Nearby, there is a bus station and train station.
Nearby, is possible to find the monuments and the historic villages, as well as the Natural Park of the Guadiana Valley, besides the several routes of the Low Alentejo.
Beja has several points of interest, both from the historical point of view, cultural, with its narrow streets, as the monuments of the old part of the city, between them, it highlights the Church of Nossa Senhora do Pé da Cruz, the Church of Santa Maria da Feira, the Castle of Beja and the Pillory, the House of Culture, the Museum Jorge Vieira, the Visigothic Nucleus, the Botanical Museum, the Gallery of Squires, the Park of the City and the Museum Rainha Dona Leonor.
The gastronomy is one of the symbols of the region, with the breadcrumbs with ribs, Beldroegas Soup, Stew at Pastora or stewed beans, as well as the Serpa cheese, the Alentejo pork meat, the Lamb of the Lower Alentejo, the Lower Alentejo Sausage or sausage meat from the Lower Alentejo, the Pork sausage of Beja, the Barrancos ham or the honey of Alentejo.
The city realizes annually since 1983, the Ovibeja, a fair of agricultural, livestock, handicrafts and touristic activities.
