The Aveiro Youth Hostel is near the centre of city, as well as of the access that takes to the beaches or to the Natural Reserve of São Jacinto Dunes.
The Hostel offers 14 rooms and a living room. Nearby, there is a bus station and train station.
Aveiro is considered the “Portuguese Venice”, where is possible to know the city through the BUGA (Aveiro Free Use Bicycle) and where it highlights the confectionary, through the soft- eggs, the nuts eggs and the cavacas.
It also highlights the beaches of Costa Nova and of Barra, the Barra Lighthouse the highest point of the Iberian Peninsula, with its more than 200 steps.
At the Feira de Março, which the origin remains to the XIV century, is possible to find a lot of entertainment and fun. In the cultural filed, it still highlights in Aveiro, the Aveiro Museum of Santa Joana Princesa.
In terms of gastronomy, there are the stews of eels, the ray in pitau sauce, the marinade eels, the mussel espetadas, the lamb at lampantana ( roasted in black clay caçoila) or the roast pig.
With regard to the cultural heritage of Aveiro, it also highlights the Church of Jesus, the Chapel of Senhor das Barrocas, the Chapel of São Gonçalinho, the Church of Carmelitas, the Church of São Domingos, the Church of São Domingos, the Church of Carmo, the Church of Nossa Senhora da Apresentação and the church of Misericórdia.
