Auto Viação do Tâmega, Lda began is activity in May 1944 with a truck load, moving later to the purchase of a bus of 31 seats, destined to make public service career between Chaves and Bragança, having been as such, his official concession. Presently, it is now one of the principals enterprises of Tras-os-Montes.
Currently, it has the exploration exclusivity in 63 official concessions for the public road transport of passengers, which are inserted in the counties of Chaves,, Sabrosa, Chaves, Bragança, Boticas, Montalegre, Peso da Régua, Santa Marta de Penaguião, Ribeira de Pena and Mirandela.
In Express services, the enterprise moves daily to Braga, Porto, Coimbra and Lisboa, offering diverse schedules. The enterprise buses also moves to any part of Portugal and to foreign, concretely in tourism travels, counting, with a fleet of 138 buses.
It has several schedules that connect the North to the South of Portugal. The booking and the acquisition of tickets can be done on the respective offices and on the agents which cooperate with the enterprise.
