The light railway Metropolitano, from the South Margin of the Tejo, is an electric metropolitan surface, which began in 2002 with the aim to develop over the municipalities of Almada, Barreiro and Seixal in three phases.
Currently, it circulates on the principal´s arteries of the Almada City, by the EN10 until Corroios and in the urban roads of the Monte da Caparica, using the route of the alternative route to the Monte da Caparica.
The ticketing system is exclusively of non-contact technology and integrated with the system of the other operators of the Metropolitan Area of Lisboa.
