The Ortiga Campsite it is located in the E.M. 599, at the Km 1, from Ortiga, overlooking the Dam Bayou, at 10 kilometers from the village of Mação and at 27 Kilometers from the Carvoeiro Fluvial Beach.
It has an area for caravans and tents, clothes washer, dishwasher, living room with TV, telephone, amphitheater, animation, grills, and children´s playground. At 40 meters, there is a restaurant, at 50 meters, a river pool and a bathing area in the river, fishing and canoeing. At 60 meters, there is a train station. From the Campsite, it´s possible to develop group activities and tourism in direct contact with the natural environment.
In the city of Abrantes, which is at 20 kilometers, as places of historical interest, there are the Church of the sixteenth century, the Churches of Misericórdia and Nossa Senhora da Conceição, from the sixteenth century, the Chapel of Santo António, of the seventeenth century and the Village Pillory.
On the municipality, there are several prehistoric vestiges as the dolmen of the River Mouth, vestiges of the Paleolithic period near the Boas Eiras Riverside, rock engravings near the Ocreza Riverside and diverse Castros as the Old Castle of Caratão of the Bronze Age or the Castro of São Miguel, from the Iron Age.
There are also on the municipality, vestiges of the Roman occupation, as the Ladeira Bridge in Envendos, the Roman baths in Ortiga and the Roman archaeological station of the Junco Valley.
