The Campsite, belonging to the Clube de Campismo do Porto, is just at 1 kilometer from the city of Amarante, near the Tâmega River and at 1300 meters from the center of the city, rich in historical and cultural heritage, being as such, very searched by national and foreign tourists.
Characterized by abundant vegetation and diversified, the Penedo da Raínha Campsite offers to its visitors a great natural beauty. A river beach, located less than 50 meters from the lower mall, is also an excellent attraction and complement of a small pool which is located in the high part of the Campsite.
The Tâmega River that skirts the Campsite, offers excellent opportunities for canoeing, so in the same, there are realized the national championships and other events of international character. The places of greatest interest to visit in the proximities, are theChurch ofSão João Baptista, The Pascoais House and the Monastery of Travanca.
