The Covão da Ponte Camping Support Area, is located over 950 meters on the the municipality of Manteigas, which is crossed by the Mondego River, the largest river which rises and flows in Portugal, providing a privileged contact with the nature .
The structure of the respective area, integrated in the space of the SkiParque Tourist Complex results from the use of the characteristics of its location and from the renovation of buildings then existing, given by the Forest Services, being presently a center for recreation, with camping infrastructures.
It has a green space to enjoy pleasant moments in contact with the nature, existing in the same, games room, bar, grill and parking.
The Covão da Ponte it´s a place of the municipality of Manteigas, located at 960 meters altitude which flows the Mondego River, in the early phase of its route.
The location of the camping area, is the starting point to visit the Central Plateau and have the direct contact with the Serra da Estrela and its altitude, as well as its landscape of great natural beauty.
